Meet Fajr DeLane: The Founder of F3 Who Embodies the 3F’s: Faith, Fierce & Fearlessness

By: SemegaChange Inc.

Fajr DeLane is redefining what wellness looks like for women of color—bridging health, education, and empowerment into one dynamic mission. With a deep belief in faith, community, and generational healing, she’s not just building a program—she’s nurturing a movement. Her work reminds us that true leadership isn’t loud, it’s rooted.

From the heart of Washington, D.C. to the vibrant streets of Malaysia, and back through the corridors of Howard University to the community spaces of Athens, Georgia—Fajr DeLane's journey is more than a story; it’s a blueprint of global resilience, cultural fluency, and transformative leadership. A public health advocate and wellness entrepreneur, Fajr stands as a force of intention, rooted in faith and driven by her purpose to uplift women and girls—particularly those too often overlooked in health, tech, and STEM narratives.

Fajr is the founder of Fun Fit Fabulous (F3), a holistic health and wellness organization designed to empower girls and women through a multidimensional framework that integrates nutritional education, emotional and mental wellness, physical fitness, and financial literacy. The program doesn't just preach self-care; it builds infrastructure around it. What began as small day camps has flourished into a full-fledged community partnership with the Boys and Girls Club, now implemented across six Athens locations and continuing to grow.

“I wanted girls to know that they can dream big, manifest, and ignite their purpose,” Fajr shared. “Even when there are social or structural barriers, you still deserve to live your best life.”

That belief isn’t just philosophy—it’s personal history. Fajr spent seven transformative years living in Malaysia, where her family built a hair salon business from the ground up after relocating for her father’s IT project. The experience reshaped her worldview, grounding her in the power of faith, entrepreneurship, and adaptability. It was there that she first dreamed of creating something bigger than herself—something that could ripple across cultures and empower young women globally.

Her academic trajectory reflects that same intention. Fajr holds a Master’s in Public Health and a degree in International Business with a concentration in Finance. She credits the dynamic, mission-driven atmosphere at Howard University for instilling the confidence to lead boldly and create unapologetically.

Fajr’s impact reaches beyond the classroom or clinic. She co-founded HU Hijab Fest, a Howard University tradition that celebrates Black Muslim identity through fashion, storytelling, and empowerment. Her recent sold-out film premiere in Atlanta, “Courageous Conversations,” served as a powerful reflection of her life experiences—offering audiences a window into her spiritual walk, entrepreneurial hustle, and emotional healing.

And she’s just getting started.

In addition to running Fun Fit Fabulous, Fajr is also a co-creator of HU Hire Fest, an initiative that builds pathways to employment for students of color in fields like public health, STEM, and social entrepreneurship. Her work is a living testament to what’s possible when personal vision meets community action.

“You’re breaking barriers just by showing up,” she says. “Keep planting seeds. At the right time, God will bring the harvest.”

Fajr’s message to the next generation of women of color is clear and deeply felt:

“Keep going. Stay open. Network. Embrace change. Trust your calling. You don’t have to have it all figured out—you just have to keep moving with purpose.”

This Women’s History Month, SemegaChange is honored to spotlight Fajr DeLane as a living embodiment of what happens when STEM meets soul, and leadership is anchored not only in strategy but in service. Her story is a reminder that wellness is a birthright, that community is sacred, and that change starts from within.
