Nigeria Virtual STEM Mentorship Program
What is this project?

SemegaChange and StemInAfrica are partnering together offer support to girls in STEM in Nigeria. Our mission is to empower and encourage young girls in Nigeria interested in STEM, providing them with a head start in learning about different STEM fields and increasing the number of STEM professionals in Africa as a whole.The program will be held virtually during the summer, with participants from the U.S. and U.K.
Tanzania Women’s Leadership Summit
What is this project?

SemegaChange alongside Maura Mgaya, the Impact Chair of the East African Alliance during the time of 2022-2023 will be hosting a Women’s Leadership Summit for young girls in Tanzania. The summit was conceptualized in order to combat an existing issue in Tanzania which is the lack of resources going towards young girls in building their skills as leaders. The objective of this summit is to help bridge this gap in our generation by making young women feel like they can occupy these spaces and that they have the competence to be effective leaders and have changemakers interdisciplinary skills.
